Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and families. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve social work practice and outcomes for children and families
  • Work closely with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective collaboration
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in social work
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to social workers and other professionals on complex cases and issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work and significant post-qualifying experience in child protection and care
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and service users
  • Expert knowledge of social work practice and legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in complex and challenging situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
