Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate social worker to lead our team and provide expert guidance and support to our social workers. As a Principal Social Worker, you will be responsible for shaping the practice and development of our team, working closely with our Team Managers and Operational Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children in need and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the practice of our social workers, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children in need and their families.
  • Work closely with our Team Managers and Operational Manager to shape the practice and development of our team, ensuring that we are delivering services that meet the needs of our children and families.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to our social workers on complex cases, ensuring that we are providing the best possible outcomes for our children and families.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective systems to ensure quality services to children in need and their families.
Requirements
  • Robust safeguarding experience and experience of working with Children looked after.
  • Confidence with court proceedings and ability to work under pressure.
  • Front-line post-qualifying experience in child protection services.
  • Degree in Social Work.
  • Excellent skills in assessment and ability to write concise records and reports.
  • Good team player with excellent communication, organisation skills and IT skills.
