Senior Property Development Finance Manager

Chamberlain Career Management is seeking a Senior Property Development Finance Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Commercial Lending team, you will be responsible for originating, delivering, and managing development finance transactions and clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of loans/clients, including the acquisition of new clients and negotiating appropriately structured and priced facilities in line with risk appetite.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, brokers, and their advisors, developing the bank brand to support and grow the business.
  • Prepare and present high-quality credit papers to the relevant sanctioning authority, consistent with credit risk policy and business line parameters.
  • Work alongside the Transaction Execution team in the execution of sanctioned deal structures, scoping and managing appropriate professional advisory work as part of risk appraisal.
  • Ensure appropriate security items are taken and drawdown processes are followed.
  • Ensure that all facilities are operating in accordance with agreed terms.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in a similar role within UK financial services and good knowledge of the UK Development Finance market and delivery of results.
  • Excellent external market and regulation awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent IT skillset using Microsoft Office.
  • Full driving license (valid in UK) and willingness to travel to visit clients.
