Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to support the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of our Osbourne Court Care Home in Baldock. This role will involve assisting in the efficient and compassionate running of the home, supervising staff, and working in a direct care capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Home Manager in efficiently managing the home's daily operations.
- Supervise and lead a team of care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Report directly to the Home Manager or their appointed representative regarding all performed duties.
- In the absence of the Home Manager, assume managerial responsibilities, ensuring the home operates to high standards and meets regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Oversee the ordering, recording, administration, and disposal of medication systems within the home.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels and the correct staff mix to meet the needs of residents.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Holds a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in dementia care environments.
