Job Overview

You will be responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies to drive business objectives. With a creative flair and passion for written content, you will work with departments to enhance the company's reputation and profile.

  1. Develop and implement an integrated communications plan to disseminate consistent messages to stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with Senior Communications Managers and Marketing Managers to support marketing campaigns.
  3. Work with PR agencies to deliver impactful communications.
  4. Generate fresh story ideas, copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.
  5. Oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and tracking of specific communications to support events calendars.
  6. Consult on reputational issues and risk mitigation.
  7. Contribute to raising the profile of Medicines Discovery Catapult, driving communication campaigns that support business strategy and R&D income-generating initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

Requirements:

  • Experience in press office, public relations, or journalism.
  • A proven track record in press release writing and media sell-in.
  • Demonstrable ability to build strong media relations and deliver impactful PR campaigns.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A flexible, proactive approach to work.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What We Offer
