Key Responsibilities
  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with the hospital Senior Management Team to drive effective workforce planning, ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time.
  • Onboarding and Induction: Lead the hospital onboarding activities for all new joiners, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive induction process.
  • Employee Support: Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and new starters, supporting them through probation periods and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • HR Administration: Ensure accurate and confidential management of all colleague HR files and personal information, adhering to GDPR guidelines.
  • Wellbeing and Absence Management: Act as an advocate for wellbeing, promoting relevant tools and support mechanisms to enhance employee engagement and productivity. Effectively manage absence, reducing short-term absence and managing long-term absence in a fair and consistent manner.
  • HR Advice and Support: Provide high-quality, consistent HR advice to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with Spire policy, procedure, and best practice.
  • Employee Relations: Support managers in performance management processes, disciplinary, grievance issues, and attendance matters, attending meetings and discussions as required.
  • Appraisals and Pay Reviews: Coordinate the appraisal process, supporting managers to have regular 1:1s with colleagues and ensuring fairness and consistency in annual pay reviews.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 5 CIPD Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience as a HR Advisor or in another HR-based role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of HR functions and systems, employment laws, and disciplinary/grievance procedures. Ability to identify and implement business-focused solutions, problem-solve, and make decisions. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage confidential information.
