Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Bryn Mawr College. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and closing projects of varying complexities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and provide overall coordination and delivery of projects of varying size and complexity, including high-risk initiatives by following project management protocols.
- Formulate and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring strict adherence to established goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with diverse departments and teams to gather essential input, insights, and expertise required for the successful execution of projects.
- Lead project teams on procurement initiatives; develop formal procurement plans, guide teams through the process, assist with RFI/RFP documentation, coordinate external contracts, participate in research and analysis of vendors, and negotiate with business partners and vendors as needed.
- Manage and track and proactively resolve project issues with support when experiencing difficulties.
- Create and review documentation and project deliverables for completeness, correctness, and compliance with company and audit standards while ensuring that the project work meets customer expectations.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document project meetings and requirement gathering sessions.
- Conduct project debriefs and identify preventive measures to ensure problems from re-occurring.
- Monitor project budgets and resource allocations with input from resource managers on multiple projects across divisions.
- Promote cross-functional communication and coordination to foster collaboration and guarantee the attainment of project milestones.
- Assist the executive team in the development and refinement of the organization's strategic projects.
- Implement additional strategic initiatives and projects identified by the leadership team, ensuring their alignment with the organization's overarching goals and objectives.
- Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues to prevent potential project delays.
- Comply with all Bryn Mawr College policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary, detail-oriented roles such as project management, operations, or strategy consulting – experience working in a non-profit or mission-driven environment is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple simultaneous complex projects from initiation to completion with an understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Power user of business productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, G-suite, Salesforce, etc.; proficiency in project management software (SmartSheets, Monday or alike) and tools is required.
- PMP certification or equivalent alternative PM certification or training – ability to gain PMP certification (if not already held) within nine months of hire.
- Project estimating and budgeting experience.
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Able to work effectively through virtual meetings and with colleagues working remotely.
Working Conditions
- This role operates in a professional environment in a remote or Hybrid (Philadelphia metro area) schedule.
- This role requires 10-20% of travel.
- The expected hours of the position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.- m – and based on projects/deadlines there may be times outside of the listed Monday-Friday timeframes.
