About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Project Planning to join our Capital Projects Programme team in a key leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the planning function across the portfolio, ensuring effective planning and delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the planning function across the portfolio
  • Develop and implement planning and delivery strategies
  • Work with project teams and programme leadership to challenge and draw out enhanced performance
  • Manage the estates pipeline programme
  • Report to the Capital Programme Director, Estates
  • Lead the planning function for the Capital Works Programme and broader work across the Estates function
  • Work with the Project Management Office and project teams to understand and define programme risks and mitigations
  • Support project teams with peer review of programme for upcoming works and works in progress
  • Work with PMO, Project Officers and Managers to plan ahead for stage gate reviews
