Join Our Team as a Family Link Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Link Worker to join our team at Liverpool City Council. As a Family Link Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting families and creating positive change in the lives of children under five.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver early learning sessions for families, observing children's development and planning activities to foster growth and address areas of need.
  • Extend your support into the home, guiding parents through various programs to create a positive learning environment and ensure their children are ready to transition to nursery or school.
  • Collaborate with local schools, nurseries, and community settings to provide a range of services that promote children's learning and development, with a particular focus on speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Provide direct support to children and families facing a range of challenges, developing targeted intervention plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies as part of the Early Help offer.
  • Facilitate a variety of parenting courses, such as You and Me Mum, Nurture Programme, Baby Massage, and Welcome to Play (training will be provided).
  • Complete evaluation reports and case studies to track progress, celebrate achievements, and help shape future service delivery.
Requirements:
  • A strong commitment to supporting children and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with parents and caregivers.
  • The ability to observe, plan, and deliver engaging and effective learning sessions for children under five.
  • A commitment to working in partnership with local schools, nurseries, and community services to ensure the best possible opportunities for young children.
What We Offer:
