Job Summary:
GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Language Educator to work as a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages at an exceptional client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons to students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, focusing on developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and update the MFL curriculum in line with national standards and school policies, ensuring that it is relevant and engaging for students.
- Classroom Environment: Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in the target language.
- Assessment and Feedback: Mark and assess student work, providing in-depth feedback to help them progress.
- Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve school goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have previous teaching experience in the last 2 years.
- Skills and Abilities: Be able to work effectively as part of a team, build and maintain appropriate relationships with staff, students, and outside agencies, and create a positive and supportive learning environment within the classroom.
- DBS: Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
