We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced radiography reporting specialist to join our team at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in interpreting chest x-rays.


About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our radiology team to ensure that patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses. You will be responsible for interpreting chest x-rays, developing evidence-based practice and local protocols, and advising other disciplines on the safe use of ionising radiation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret chest x-rays to establish a diagnosis and influence patient management and treatment
  • Work with reporting radiographer colleagues and Radiologists to develop evidence-based practice and local protocols
  • Accept referrals from other disciplines, adhering to Ionising Regulations (Medical Exposures) Regulation, IR(ME)R on justification of procedures

Requirements
  • Recognised post-graduate qualification in chest x-ray reporting
  • Degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in general radiography covering a broad range of examinations

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum
