This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK, delivering care to over 1 million patients annually.
Main Duties:- Lead the Orthopaedic Team in the Barn Theatre setting, one of the state-of-the-art theatres in the UK.
- Support Chase Farm Theatres, consisting of 8 theatres, with a focus on Orthopaedics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and theatre efficiency.
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
- Registered Nurse/ODP with a recognised Post Graduate Theatre Course (ENB176).
- Mentorship Course (e.g. ENB 998, D32 D33) or demonstrated willingness to enrol.
- Significant experience in Orthopaedic scrub and circulating practice (at Band 5 or above).
- Experience in managing junior staff (HCA/ students) including appraisal, performance, absence, selection and recruitment.
- Good written, numeracy & verbal communications skills.
- Awareness of clinical issues within the theatre department.
- Able to work as part of a team within set boundaries.
- Able to prioritise workload.
- Able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and manage difficult situations.
- Positive and motivated with attention to detail.
