Financial Operations Specialist

De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support the financial success of one of London's iconic events venues.

As a key member of the finance team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting & forecasting, maintaining financial records and implementing financial controls.

Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will assist in the production of the hotel annual budget as well as producing the bi-weekly forecast as and when necessary. This role has three direct reports.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a financial role involving purchase ledger, preferably within the hospitality/events industry. Knowledge and understanding of payroll/productivity for the events industry, and of wet and dry stocks are also essential.

Proficiency in using financial management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required. Strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving are also necessary.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and develop junior members of the team are essential. An AAT level 4 qualification or similar is also required.
