Job Title: Cleaning Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cleaning Team Leader to join our team at ABM. As a Cleaning Team Leader, you will be responsible for assisting team members with Element usage, ensuring a good knowledge of the element auditing tool, and passing that knowledge onto team members who require assistance day to day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members with Element usage and ensure a good knowledge of the element auditing tool.
  • Pass knowledge onto team members who require assistance day to day.
  • Undertake shift management roles and responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Assign jobs for each shift, check areas for completed work, and maintain the standard of work across all areas.
  • Assist team members with help, complete shift tasks such as desk clearing, and ensure all T&A devices have been synced for Ontime and Element.
  • Ensure the upkeep of cleaning cupboards and hoovers, including weekly checks on all hoovers and cleaning cupboards.
  • Ensure all hoovers are being used correctly, in working order, and stored in the correct place.
  • Ensure all cleaning cupboards are clean and tidy, all equipment is present, and chemicals are returned to the COSHH cupboard in the signing in cupboard.
  • Sign off for cupboards and replenish when full.

Requirements:

  • Cleaning experience is essential.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, with good written and spoken English.
  • Basic IT skills are essential.
  • Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative.
  • Flexible and proactive attitude is essential.
  • Understanding and knowledge of health and safety policies.
  • Ability to represent ABM values on site by being presentable, uniformed, and helpful always.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Experience of co-ordinating a range of tasks and individuals.
  • Ability to follow Company Policies and procedures.
  • Confirmation that those under their supervision have received training appropriate to their needs and that safety considerations are integrated into this training.
  • Ensuring that the work environment and equipment are safe and well maintained.
  • Identifying and correcting hazardous conditions.
  • Monitoring compliance with risk assessments, enforcing control measures, and stopping anyone who fails to comply.

Qualifications:

  • IOSHH Managing Working Safely.
  • First Aid Certificate.
