About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment on our Type 31 Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of mechanical systems and equipment, including shock and non-shock mounted items
- Systems installation covering shaft-line, power generation, prime movers, and assorted valves and pumps
- Removal of mechanical equipment
- Familiarity with production output materials, such as compartment layouts and detailed dimensional instructions, routing schematics, and P&IDs
Requirements
- Recent and relevant experience working in a similar environment
- Experience working with energized equipment, aware of isolation and safe systems of work requirements
- Open mind to change, supporting composite working environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
