About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of mechanical systems and equipment, including shock and non-shock mounted items
  • Systems installation covering shaft-line, power generation, prime movers, and assorted valves and pumps
  • Removal of mechanical equipment
  • Familiarity with production output materials, such as compartment layouts and detailed dimensional instructions, routing schematics, and P&IDs

Requirements

  • Recent and relevant experience working in a similar environment
  • Experience working with energized equipment, aware of isolation and safe systems of work requirements
  • Open mind to change, supporting composite working environments
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
