At Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK, we are seeking a skilled Aerospace Inspection Specialist to join our team.

As an Aerospace Inspection Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking and completing detailed inspections of all components using the latest criteria and inspection equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creation and modification of component overhaul/repair routes within SAP as required
  • Ensuring that all information (I.E. P/N, S/N, and Condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on LTLGS SAP system
  • Carry out accurate measurement of components where required due to workload
  • Work to Production priority lists – ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control
  • Interface with Technical engineering, and other production departments where necessary
  • Other duties as directed by the Section Manager, Team Leader, or Leading Hand
  • Train and mentor other team personnel within the role subject to your qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable
  • Maths and English GCSE A-C Grades equivalent
  • 'A' Level or equivalent qualification in an engineering subject would be desirable
  • Extensive experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment
  • Previous mechanical component inspection background
  • PC literate
  • Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment
  • Previous practical experience using imperial measurement tools
  • Previous knowledge of manuals and Boeing websites
  • Shift work. Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
  • Further trainings required
