Become a part of our esteemed Child Psychotherapy Service at 306 North London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Child Psychotherapist, you will work across generic and specialist teams, providing assessment and treatment for children and their families. You will be responsible for consultation, brief-work, and long-term Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Additionally, you will offer supervision to band 7 clinicians and trainees, and contribute to developing clinical practice and treatment offers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess children and adolescents referred to the service, utilizing a variety of sources including psychological measures, rating scales, and semi-structured interviews.
  2. Formulate and implement plans for treatment and management of mental health problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework.
  3. Implement a range of psychotherapeutic model-driven interventions, adjusting and refining formulations as needed.
  4. Provide assessment and discharge care planning for children and young people presenting in the acute NHS hospital.

Work Environment: You may be required to work at different locations within Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at other locations as necessary.
