Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist - Cancer Care to join our team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our radiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for recording treatment and planning data, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting patients with queries.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also provide administrative support, including maintaining accurate patient details and ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording treatment and planning data

Requirements:

  • Vocational healthcare qualification at level 3 or willingness to work towards
  • GCSE level in Maths and English or equivalent qualification
  • Effective communication and customer/patient care skills
  • Ability to use/learn multiple Oncology patient management systems

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
