We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Chemist to join our team at Veolia in Stewartby, Bedford. As a key member of our Hazardous Waste site, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of waste chemicals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sampling and verification of waste chemicals, raising non-conformance reports as required.
  • Assign disposal routes for all wastes arriving on site.
  • Perform compatibility checks for bulking operations.
  • Check and sign appropriate paperwork for incoming loads, allocating to appropriate areas.
  • Assist the Senior Site Chemist and Site Manager in executing day-to-day site operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC or degree qualification in Chemistry or relevant science degree.
  • Ideal experience in waste management.
