We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Chemist to join our team at Veolia's Stewartby site. As a key member of our hazardous waste management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of chemical waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sampling and verification of waste chemicals, identifying any non-conforming materials and raising reports as required.
  • Assign disposal routes for all incoming waste, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct compatibility checks for bulking operations, ensuring the safe and efficient processing of waste.
  • Verify and sign relevant paperwork for incoming loads, including duty of care and consignment notes.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Site Chemist and Site Manager to execute day-to-day site operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC or degree qualification in Chemistry or a relevant science degree.
  • Prior experience in waste management is highly desirable.
