Job Summary:
Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled Liaison Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Liaison Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting production by resolving problems during the build process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff, providing timely and effective support to ensure smooth operations.
- Attend daily production planning meetings to stay aligned with current operations and identify potential issues.
- Address questions from the production team by either solving the problem directly or capturing it in a Technical Query (TQ) form with sufficient detail for another member of the engineering team to resolve.
- Collaborate with planning to schedule the resolution of open TQs by the engineering team, ensuring timely completion and minimizing downtime.
- Follow up on TQs raised by production to ensure the issue is clearly understood and assigned to the appropriate person for resolution.
- Maintain and update the TQ register, tracking queries to closure and providing production with regular updates on progress.
- Share lessons learned and opportunities for improvement with the rest of the engineering team, supporting the implementation of improvements for future projects.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Production experience is an advantage.
- Experience in a design or drawing office environment is an advantage.
