AutoCAD Design Engineer

RGF Staffing UK Limited is seeking a skilled Liaison Engineer to join our team in Port Glasgow. As a Liaison Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting production by resolving problems during the build process.
Key Responsibilities:- Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff on a daily basis, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Daily Production Planning: Attend daily production planning meetings to stay aligned with current operations and make informed decisions.
- Technical Query Management: Address questions from the production team by either solving the problem directly or capturing it in a Technical Query (TQ) form with sufficient detail for another member of the engineering team to resolve.
- Collaboration and Scheduling: Collaborate with planning to schedule the resolution of open TQs by the engineering team, ensuring timely completion.
- Progress Updates: Follow up on TQs raised by production to ensure the issue is clearly understood and assigned to the appropriate person for resolution, providing regular updates on progress.
- Lessons Learned: Maintain and update the TQ register, tracking queries to closure and sharing lessons learned and opportunities for improvement with the rest of the engineering team, supporting the implementation of improvements for future projects.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Production Experience: Production experience is an advantage, as is experience in a design or drawing office environment.
