About the Role

Parkside Surgery is seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Patient Services Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment, providing a comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, attend to their requests for appointments, prescriptions, and deal with other queries using the computer.
  • Deal with telephone calls, redirecting them as appropriate.
  • Action tasks in line with practice protocol.
  • Recording information onto the computer.
  • Scanning and coding information from letters into patient records.
  • Recording requests for repeat prescriptions by patients.
  • Maintaining compliance with all Practice policies and procedure, available in hard copy or electronic copy and ensuring awareness of where to find them.
  • Maintaining flexibility to assist in holiday and sickness cover.
  • Any administrative tasks as required.
  • Chaperone patients (when required and with the appropriate training).
  • Processing prescription requests using EPS2/FP10s.

  • Training practice for GP registrars and medical students.
  • Work with the ARCH PCN home visiting service.
  • Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician attached to the Practice.
  • MH GPs attached to the practice.
  • Excellent nursing and healthcare assistant support.
  • Allied community team including District Nurses, Community Matron, Midwife, Care Co-ordinator, Social Prescribers.
  • We work closely with our PCN colleagues (8 other local practices).
  • SystmOne clinical system.
  • CQC rating of good in all areas.
  • Located in Alfreton Primary Care Centre.
