Job Title: AML / Compliance Analyst

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the compliance of our business with anti-money laundering regulations and internal policies. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our operations and upholding our commitment to transparency and customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks on new and existing customers, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review KYC documents and ensure all onboarding documents are accurately recorded on file, stored, and updated in line with GDPR and data protection policies.
  • Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk customers and escalate cases to Senior Compliance Officer/Head of Compliance when necessary.
  • Identify any red flags or suspicious behavior and escalate potential cases of fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing for further investigation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the ML 2017, FCA guidance, and any other relevant regulatory updates.
  • Be available to support and guide staff on day-to-day compliance-related queries, issues, and concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with customers over the telephone and email during the onboarding process to request further documentation and clarify any issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service experience while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a KYC or AML-related role, preferably within the financial services or precious metals industry.
  • Experience with compliance software and KYC/AML tools.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations.
  • Certification in AML or compliance (such as ICA or ACAMS) is desirable but not compulsory.
