Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team at Taylor & Francis Group. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our business, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Other Duties: Assist with other financial tasks as needed, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: AAT Level 4 Qualified or an early ACCA/CIMA student (AAT Level 3 qualified will be considered if experience is a good match)
  • Skills: Proficient skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential. SAP knowledge is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is required.
