We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Clerk to join our busy finance department at Reed. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Transactions: Process and issue purchase order requests, code, match, and process purchase invoices, and ensure timely authorisation of invoices.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Conduct regular housekeeping to resolve disputed items, perform statement reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Customer Service: Handle creditor enquiries via email and telephone, complete supplier credit applications, and manage company hotel and travel requirements.
- Administrative Support: Handle finance department post and email correspondence, and undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of finance experience within a similar role in a busy department.
- Skills: Strong ability to cope with conflicting demands and prioritise tasks effectively, good time management skills, and a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
- Qualifications: GCSE passes Grade C or above in Maths & English, and proficiency in using MS Outlook, Email, and Word applications.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with Sage Line 50 is desirable but not essential.
