Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pinnacle Recruitment & Selection. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas engines, generators, and associated systems at our commercial greenhouse grower sites in North Yorkshire/Humberside.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine servicing of equipment, including gas engine, generator, CO2 catalyst, and heat recovery systems.
  • Breakdown repairs and fault finding on equipment.
  • Identification of parts required to resolve fault issues.
  • Completion of record documentation and job sheets.

The successful candidate will report to the Area Supervisor and respond to the company remote Service Desk. You will be required to communicate effectively with Directors, other work colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background, preferably with experience in maintaining heavy engines/gensets, particularly in the marine and/or energy sectors. Alternatively, candidates with experience in maintaining heavy plant/HGVs who are interested in cross-training in CHP engine technology will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated, and able to adopt routine procedures with attention to detail. You will also be required to enter into a weekend call-out rota (1 weekend in 3).

We offer a highly competitive basic salary, call standby duty, and overtime payments. Full-time hours are 8 per day, normally 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Holidays are 25 pa plus statutory and pension. A company-funded van and mobile phone are also provided, as well as any specialist tools.
