We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a local production and manufacturing factory near Carlisle. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure high levels of availability
- React quickly to breakdowns and communicate effectively with affected parties
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback to the management team
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors
- Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Experience of working within the Food and Drink sector
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- Experience of fault finding with industrial machinery
- Experience of interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
- Full engineering apprenticeship and/or qualification of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Competitive salary of £47,361 per annum
- Benefits package including cycle to work scheme, free parking, and quarterly bonus
- 12 hour shifts with 4 days on, 3 days off, then 4 days on, 5 days off
