Job Title: Component Engineer for Product Development

CTDI UK is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Component Engineer to join our team in Wellingborough. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles and a passion for problem-solving.

As a Component Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all components meet the required specifications and performance standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining new component master data and setup in the system
  • Setting up NPI products based on customer information/golden samples/manufacturing BOM/operational process
  • Maintaining and updating Material Master and BOMs
  • Supporting procurement by sourcing and validating technical parameters
  • Handling engineer change notifications
  • FOLLOWING THE COMPONENT LIFE CYCLE AND REGISTERING IN THE SYSTEM (EOL, LTB)
  • Providing technical support to purchasing and planning
  • Creating and analyzing component technical specifications/datasheets
  • Suggesting alternative components/solutions
  • Supporting material cost-saving projects and tenders
  • Palletization instructions for operation
  • Collaborating with QA to define incoming inspection rules and analyze non-conformities
Requirements:
  • Strong experience and knowledge of SAP
  • Degree or diploma in an engineering field
  • High level experience and knowledge of Excel - Macros, Pivot tables
Estimated Salary Range:

Based on industry standards and location, we estimate the salary range for this position to be £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
