Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Digital Modeler to join our team. As a Digital Modeler, you will be responsible for creating digital models based on 2D sketches, scan data, and designer's initial digital models. You will use digital tools and processes to deliver surface data with speed and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create digital models based on 2D sketches, scan data, and designer's initial digital models.
  • Use digital tools (Alias essential, Sub D a plus) and processes to deliver surface data with speed and accuracy.
  • Collate and exchange data for digital model assembly for prototyping and feasibility.
  • Deliver data to downstream departments and assist with data transfer and development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience of working in an automotive OEM or consultancy, with at least 2 production programs delivered.
  • Understanding of Industry standards for Automotive surfacing and ability to deliver Design intent with sensitivity to proportion, surface, and detailing.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Alias is a must with knowledge of delivering quick, quality surfaces on specific needs.
  • Understand the functional and feasibility requirements to iterate and deliver the design intent in the digital model.
  • Decisive, dynamic, pro-active, and assertive qualities.
  • IT literate – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Catia, Blender, Maya and other 3D modelling tools.
  • Degree/Diploma in Digital Modelling/Product Design/Transportation Design.
