We are seeking two experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our SEND Team at Devon County Council. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and Physical and/or Sensory needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High level of patience and empathy.
- Good listening skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- English and Maths qualification at C grade GCSE or above.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in the school's wellbeing program and extra-curricular activities.
