Job Title: Senior Structural Designer

The Senior Structural Designer will play a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects for our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with other disciplines to execute work and ensure effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and ensure computer literacy in Microsoft packages and required software packages for the role.
  • Provide Discipline Design Support to satisfy the appropriate Asset Safety Case and ensure the PFEER performance standards are not compromised by any Discipline Engineering Activities.
  • Stay conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards, and comply with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards.
  • Operate and act responsibly, taking into account the need to progress environmental, social and economic outcomes simultaneously.
  • Be responsible for continuing professional development necessary to maintain and enhance competence in own area of practice.
  • Supervise other discipline designers within the scope of work and ensure delivery as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion of design documentation within the budget and schedule.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in structural design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore personnel at all levels.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft packages and required software packages for the role.
  • Ability to comply with relevant codes of conduct and provide Discipline Design Support to satisfy the appropriate Asset Safety Case.
  • Knowledge of current and new legislation and standards, and ability to stay conversant and knowledgeable.
  • Ability to operate and act responsibly, taking into account the need to progress environmental, social and economic outcomes simultaneously.
  • Responsibility for continuing professional development necessary to maintain and enhance competence in own area of practice.
