We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Technical Support and Assurance (TSA) Team in Scottish Water's Environment, Planning and Assurance Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining water quality, protecting the environment, and meeting regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assurance to our partners and project teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating design solutions, assessing their suitability, and ensuring compliance with current standards and specifications.

You will also be responsible for contributing to the development of Scottish Water's design library, promoting suitable designs based on insights gained from ongoing project engagements. Additionally, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to assess the implications of any revisions or waivers, and champion and review emerging technologies and UK best practices within the TSA team.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need a degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with Chartered status or working towards it with a licensed Professional Engineering Institution. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders are essential. Experience in water and wastewater design and construction, along with a knack for problem-solving, will set you apart.
