Main Responsibilities

  • Transport goods, linen, pharmacy supplies, medical specimens, and Trust staff around the Trust, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy state, promoting good customer service to users.
  • Complete legal and service required checks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, promoting a positive and respectful environment.

Requirements

  • Valid driving license for relevant classes of vehicle.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy qualifications.
  • Considerable experience employed as a driver, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Understanding of basic vehicle checks and knowledge of vehicle activity records.
  • Skills relating to manual handling, use of sack trucks, and relevant skills for driving different classes of vehicles.
