Job Description

ProLabs, a global leader in the optical transceivers industry, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to join our team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of 2 Finance Assistants and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the UK finance function.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
  • Analyse and interpret data and trends to provide meaningful insights to drive business decision-making and control costs.
  • Lead on accounting operations and processes, ensuring robust financial systems and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Lead the audit of UK statutory accounts and financial statements production.
  • Monitor departmental spend monthly to help control costs versus budget.
  • Prepare EMEA budgets and forecasts, and produce actual to budget variance analysis on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare information for UK corporation tax returns and assist in preparing forecasts for quarterly tax payments, where necessary.
  • Adhere to Amphenol Corporate policies and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Review monthly payroll and coordinate payroll with the HR Manager, through to payment of salaries and employer-related tax to HMRC.
  • Annual submission of payroll returns; monthly second review of monthly payroll.
  • Ad hoc reporting, which may involve undertaking due diligence assignments.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA/ACCA).
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and trends to provide meaningful insights.
