About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Enterprise Café Coordinator to join our team at Arbury Court. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our social enterprise café, which is run by service users. Your primary focus will be on providing training, support, and supervision to ensure skill development and satisfaction in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and source ingredients in line with the café ethos.
  • Develop and lead the production of food products for sale in the café.
  • Ensure a professional level of customer service is delivered by all café staff.
  • Develop and manage relationships with customers, workers, and suppliers to ensure efficient running of the café and create a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Coordinate café workers to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Facilitate cooking courses for workers.
  • Provide individual training support for café workers and conduct inductions for new staff.
  • Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other MDT staff in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with patients/service users to identify and work towards their recovery-focused goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter details in service user healthcare records.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar environment and mental health.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Level 3 food hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards.
  • Previous experience in the food service industry.
  • Ability to support a team with varying talents and skills and work independently.
  • Experience of supervising staff.
  • Strong interest in or knowledge of special dietary requirements and wholesome food.
  • Ability to support, mentor, and encourage workers to develop new skills and confidence.
