Job Title: Machine Operator

Are you an experienced machine operator looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking a skilled machine operator to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for operating, configuring, and maintaining machines throughout production, as well as quality checking to ensure accuracy and reduce delays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-checks and cleaning tasks of the production line to ensure smooth operation.
  • Set up machines and prepare raw materials for production, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Replenish packaging and films to the production line, maintaining a well-stocked inventory.
  • Set up batches of production, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including stacking finished goods, while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintain the hygiene of equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Complete required documentation, including records of downtime and work with the team to minimize delays.
  • Resolve machine stoppages, using problem-solving skills to get production back on track.
  • Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing quality, efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
  • Support and assist in the training of other staff members, promoting knowledge sharing and development.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with machinery, preferably in food production.
  • Confident in manual handling tasks, with a strong physical presence.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality control.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
  • Competent IT skills, with experience in using software and systems related to production management.
