Job Title: Machine Operator

Are you an experienced machine operator looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, configuring, and maintaining machines throughout production, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-checks and cleaning tasks of the production line to ensure smooth operation.
  • Set up machines and prepare raw materials for production, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Replenish packaging and films to the production line, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
  • Set up batches of production, ensuring timely completion and minimal downtime.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including stacking finished goods, while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintain the hygiene of equipment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Complete required documentation, including records of downtime and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to minimize downtime and resolve machine stoppages.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing quality, efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
  • Support and assist in training other staff members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with machinery, preferably in food production.
  • Confident manual handling skills and physical fitness.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality production.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Competent IT skills, including data entry and record-keeping.

Working 12 hours nights on a permanent rota, with a typical cycle of 4 on 4 off.
