Job Title: GIS Architect - Enterprise Solutions

LA International is seeking a highly experienced GIS Architect to join our team. As a key member of our geosolutions team, you will lead the design and implementation of our customers' GIS infrastructure and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and architect GIS systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define GIS requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  3. Develop and maintain GIS architecture documentation, including system diagrams and design standards.
  4. Evaluate and recommend GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the organization's GIS capabilities.
  5. Oversee the integration of GIS solutions with other enterprise systems and databases.
  6. Provide guidance on best practices for data management, spatial analysis, and application development within the GIS environment.
  7. Monitor and assess the performance of GIS systems, implementing improvements and optimizations as needed.
  8. Manage GIS projects, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
  9. Mentor and support GIS staff, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 7+ years of experience in GIS architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on enterprise-level GIS solutions.
  3. Strong proficiency in GIS software and technologies, including ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Suite and Open-Source Web GIS tools.
  4. Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms and enterprise GIS solutions.
  5. Solid understanding of database management systems and data modeling.
  6. Strong knowledge of web services and APIs for integrating GIS with other applications.
  7. Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

Domain Experience: Railways, Government, Utilities, and Insurance.

Qualifications:

  1. GIS certification.
  2. Experience with programming/scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL.
  3. Familiarity with remote sensing and geospatial data processing techniques.
  4. Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
