Main Responsibilities

As a skilled Welder at WGM Engineering Ltd, you will be responsible for interpreting drawings and plans to develop and design welding projects. You will also be required to interpret welding procedures, specifications, and standards in engineering construction.

Key Tasks

  • Laying out, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create desired shapes or objects
  • Operating welding equipment and using burning equipment
  • Manufacturing using detailed drawings
  • Inspecting and testing welds for durability and meeting specified standards
  • Inspecting, examining, and testing equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment are needed
  • Completing reports, RAMS, and job sheets in a clear and concise manner
  • Detailing welding procedures, programs, and work methods
  • Liaising with internal and external customers
  • Providing updates to the Fabrication Supervisor on job progress

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in a welding role, ideally within an engineering setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
