Job Title: School Administrator Position in Blackburn

We are seeking an experienced and skilled School Administrator to join our team at a Secondary School in Blackburn. As a key member of the school office, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, Teachers, Pupils, and Parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet all visitors to the school, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls, providing excellent customer service.
  • Carry out general administration duties, including the use of the SIMS system, to maintain the smooth operation of the school office.
  • Maintain email accounts, responding to queries and directing enquiries as required.
  • Assist in the upkeep of contact records, including student, staff, and trustee contact information.
  • Create mailing labels and order stationery and first-aid equipment as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working in a school office, ideally with SIMS experience.
  • Ability to liaise and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Teachers, Pupils, and Parents.
  • Strong administration skills, with the ability to manage the day-to-day running of the school office.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a full-time basis within an educational environment. The contracted hours of work for the role will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-16:00pm. The position is currently temporary but has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
