Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Manager to join our Marine Technical Services Team in Greenock. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to the team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our marine fleet.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and technical performance.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
  • Lead and manage a team of technical specialists, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Ensure the effective management of technical risks and the implementation of safety and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of contract objectives and the achievement of business goals.

Requirements

  • Qualified to at least Class I Engineering Certificate of Competency and/or a degree in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in technical management, with a strong understanding of engineering and technical processes in the marine industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and budgetary management experience.
  • Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
