Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Collection Specialist to join our team at Tempest Resourcing Limited. As a key member of our Council Tax processing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely collection of council tax and non-domestic rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of council tax legislation and best practice.
  • Work closely with customers to resolve queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless processing and collection of council tax and non-domestic rates.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of council tax and non-domestic rates legislation, including changes and updates.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the council tax and non-domestic rates collection process.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Revenues Officer in a council tax billing and collection environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a requirement to attend the office at least 2 days per week.
