About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an apprentice to complete their Level 3 Childcare qualification with Steeple Aston Preschool.

About Steeple Aston Preschool:

Situated in a quiet rural village, our purpose-built Victorian school has been modernised and extended for the exclusive use of pre-school children.

  • Outstanding procedures for managing times of transition, such as settling children into the pre-school

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support with supervising children and helping with personal care, including hand washing and toileting
  • Help with planning activities and supporting key members of the team, observing and getting to know the children and their families
  • Support with learning through play, focusing on children's interests and flexible learning approaches
  • Learn about the role and develop into a key person, with elements of reporting and observations, and building relationships with parents

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Childcare Qualification
  • Clear DBS
  • Understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe
  • GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent

Working Hours:

  • Steeple Aston Preschool is open between 08:15-15:30
  • Working hours will be a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Chesterton Playgroup is a term-time only setting
