Domain Quality Manager

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Domain Quality Manager to join our Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) business domain in Crawley. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading Quality Assurance across our complex engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and lead a team of up to 10 direct reports to deliver all aspects of quality assurance within bids, projects, design and development lifecycles, system validation, supply chain, manufacturing & customer acceptance.
- Drive consistent application of governance to assure quality within gates, milestones and lifecycle events, including those attended by the customer.
- Represent QA within senior leadership reviews, presenting material as appropriate to meet the needs of the business and functional strategy.
- Ensure functional attendance at formal project reviews and the infeed of independent quality reporting to senior programme stakeholders.
- Embed customer requirements and deliver them, ensuring the customer is represented at all times.
- Drive QA forward within the domain, delivering a strategy/roadmap to achieve continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team can deliver its objectives, with suitable skills and capabilities in place, talent developed, and resource allocated appropriately.
- Experience operating in a Quality Management leadership role in a complex project/engineering environment.
- Proven people management experience, including leading, motivating and developing a team of professionals.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced design and development/engineering environment.
- Proven ability to instigate and drive effective change.
- Demonstrable ability in influencing key stakeholders and getting buy-in to the quality vision.
- Experience of budget setting, monitoring and reporting.
- Related Professional Qualification and Membership of Associations.
