Job Title: Domain Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) business domain in Crawley. As a key member of the ISR leadership team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, governance & assurance across our complex engineering programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of up to 10 direct reports to deliver all aspects of quality assurance within bids, projects, design and development lifecycles, system validation, supply chain, manufacturing & customer acceptance across all programmes.
  • Lead the team to drive consistent application of governance to assure quality within gates, milestones and lifecycle events including those attended by the customer (both on and off site).
  • Represent QA within the senior leadership reviews, presenting material as appropriate to meet the needs of the business and functional strategy.
  • Ensure functional attendance at formal project reviews and the infeed of independent quality reporting to the senior programme stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer requirements are embedded and delivered and that the customer is represented at all times.
  • Drive QA forward within the domain, delivering a strategy/roadmap to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the team can deliver its objectives, that suitable skills and capabilities are in place, that talent is developed and that resource is appropriately allocated.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager / Head of Quality with a proven track record of leading and managing a team of professionals working within an engineering or defence environment.
