As a neurophysiology consultant for paediatrics, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people. Our neurophysiology service supports a range of paediatric specialities, delivering acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a large population.

This permanent, part-time position requires 34 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of staff, patients, and the service. A salary, estimated at £30-£40k p/a based on national averages, reflects the new reduced working week. Temporary adjustments may be required for some service areas.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced paediatric physiologist able to work in challenging environments such as Intensive Care, Neonatal Units, and Wards. They must be adaptable and able to deal with infants, children, and young people of all ages.

A range of paediatric specialities are supported by this neurophysiology service, including the Scottish Paediatric Renal Service, National Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit, and Scottish Paediatric Cardiac Service. The department focuses on long-term EEG and video monitoring.
