Mechanical Engineer with Expertise in CNC Fabrication

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Mechanical and CNC Engineer. In this role, you will work closely with analysis engineers to ensure designs accurately reflect theoretical analysis. You will also produce 3D models in Autodesk Inventor and generate 2D drawings from these models for customer review and approval.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in industrial sheet/steel fabrications. They should be proficient in using Autodesk 3D Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault, as well as having a working knowledge of BS 8888 for engineering drawings.

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates with a HND in Engineering or a Degree (BEng Hons) in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, along with relevant work experience. The salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per year, depending on experience.

This position is based in the UK and requires the ability to work overtime to achieve project plans as required. Due to the nature of this role being on a national security facility, we can only accommodate applications from UK Nationals.

About the Role:

  • Produce designs that meet product assurance limitations and consider all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare 3D models in Autodesk Inventor and generate 2D drawings from these models.
  • Work closely with analysis engineers to ensure designs accurately reflect theoretical analysis.
  • Provide support to the wider project team and liaise with customers as required.
