About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Officer to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide comprehensive support to clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring the smooth running of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff, including patient information and assistance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
  • Ensure confidentiality, diplomacy, and discretion are maintained at all times.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • Develop and implement efficient administrative processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Standard grade level or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
  • Ability to prioritize work and work on own initiative while under pressure.
  • Proficient IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in dealing with medical records.
  • Previous experience in dealing with members of the public.

Contract Type

Permanent

Part Time

18.5 hours

Please note this is a part-time post, and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Older Adult inpatients within Udston Hospital.

The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
